The Rulebook
The leaderboard is the on-ramp to real funded capital. That means it has to be clean. These are the rules every trader on Mallo agrees to the moment they open an account.
Principles
Mallo exists to identify real trader edge, and to route real capital to the traders who have it. Every rule in this document flows from three principles:
Trader Conduct
The following are grounds for immediate account action:
- Operating more than one Mallo account per person.
- Sharing an account, or trading on behalf of another person's Mallo account.
- Using automated scripts or bots against the paper terminal without prior written approval.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or exploit the paper matching engine, price feeds, or scoring layer.
- Any form of harassment, threats, or targeted abuse toward other traders or Mallo staff.
Bundled Coins
We are fully aware that a portion of pump.fun launches are bundled — deployed by a single actor who pre-loads supply into a cluster of wallets before broadcasting the mint. When we review your account and find that a portion of your P&L came from bundled or fake tokens, those trades are subtracted from your score. If it's clear you simply didn't know, that's not the end of the road — we look at the rest of your trades to see if you're still a good fit for the funded program.
What is never acceptable is trading your own bundled launch to farm P&L.
Specifically prohibited:
- Sniping a token you personally deployed or bundled, on any wallet linked to you.
- Coordinating with a bundler to paper-sell into buys you know are about to hit.
- Front-running any launch where you have material non-public knowledge of the buyer set.
- Repeatedly paper-trading launches from a bundler cluster you have a relationship with.
Wash & Coordinated Flow
The paper engine mirrors live liquidity. That means anything that manipulates live liquidity to move your paper P&L counts as manipulation of Mallo.
- Wash trading a token on-chain to move its price while you hold a paper position.
- Coordinating with other wallets (yours or someone else's) to pump or dump a token you are paper-trading.
- Using pooled capital from a Discord, Telegram, or private group to move a low-liquidity token that a group member is paper-trading.
- Deploying and immediately buying a token from a linked wallet to trigger volume signals inside Mallo.
Top-100 Review
Every trader who finishes a season inside the top 100 of any official Mallo leaderboard is manually reviewed before a funded slot is issued. This is not automated. A human trader on the Mallo team walks the tape.
- 01Trade-by-trade replayWe rebuild every fill against the live price feed for the exact block it was placed on. Timing, size, and PnL are recomputed independently of the on-site display.
- 02Token provenanceEvery token in the account's PnL is checked for bundler patterns, deployer history, and any on-chain relationship to wallets connected to the trader.
- 03Wallet clusteringWe cluster wallets that interact with your account, wallets that funded your linked addresses, and wallets that mirror your entries. Suspicious clusters trigger deeper review.
- 04Behavioral consistencySetups, hold times, and sizing are checked for internal consistency. A trader who edges by taste looks different from a trader who front-runs their own bundle.
- 05Green-light or freezeClean reviews graduate to funded onboarding. Any review that raises a flag freezes the funded issuance until it is resolved.
Disqualification
Automatic disqualification means, in order:
- Immediate removal from every active and historical leaderboard.
- Forfeit of any pending funded evaluation, funded account offer, or unpaid profit split.
- Permanent ban from re-registering under a new identity, email, or wallet cluster.
- Notification to any linked accounts we detect during review; those accounts are reviewed as well.
Disqualification decisions are final at the point of finding. You may still appeal — see below — but the leaderboard state and funded pipeline are frozen against the account the moment the finding is issued.
Appeals
If you believe a disqualification was issued in error, you can open an appeal within 14 days of the finding. Appeals are reviewed by a second trader on the Mallo team who was not involved in the original review.
- Submit the appeal from the same account, so identity is verified.
- Include on-chain evidence: wallet history, transaction hashes, and any context that clears the flag.
- One appeal per finding. Repeated submissions on the same finding are closed without review.
Funded Account Rules
These rules extend to funded accounts as well. A funded trader caught manipulating on live capital loses the funded wallet, forfeits unpaid split, and is permanently removed from the program.
- No trading against tokens you deployed or bundled, from any wallet linked to your identity.
- No coordinated flow with third-party groups against tokens held in your funded wallet.
- No delegation of the funded wallet's signing keys. The funded trader operates the account personally.
- Payouts pause during any active review. They resume automatically once the review clears.
Rule Changes
We update this document as the on-chain ecosystem evolves. New attack patterns get documented and added to the rulebook as soon as we see them. Material changes are announced from the official Mallo channels, and traders are given a grace window before the new rule affects standing.
The latest version of this page is always the authoritative version. Trading on Mallo after an update means you accept the updated rules.
